Michael Kissinger – is a classical and jazz clarinetist, composer, and producer.  He is Artistic Director of the Vancouver Wine & Jazz Festival.  GRAMMY-winning jazz singer Diane Schuur says: “Michael is the best clarinetist I have ever worked with, and I’ve heard them all!”

A Concert of Joy!

A Concert of Joy! is held in the Historic Old Madeleine Church, in the heart of Portland's Irvington District.  Seating is General Admission.  The acoustics in the Old Madeleine Church are superb, parking is free, seating is comfortable, and the music is fun.  Please bring your family - and especially your children and grandchildren.  Students age 18 and younger are FREE.


This concert is music that celebrates SPRING, LIFE, and JOY!  Jazz, Baroque, Classical, and Tango music including -

CONCERT ATTENDANCE COVID PROTOCOLS

We are not requiring masks for attending this concert, in alignment with Oregon and Washington state COVID policies.  Face masks are not required and there are no restrictions for indoor or outdoor events and locations as of Sunday, March 20th, 2022.


In addition, COVID-19 vaccine proof is no longer a condition of entry as of Sunday, March 20th, 2022.


The Oregon Health Authority still recommends masking for people at higher risk from COVID-19, including unvaccinated people and immunocompromised people.  Therefore, if you desire to wear a face mask at this concert, you are most welcome to do so.


We will continue to monitor State, and local guidance to update our policies as needed.

Pianist Maria Manzo – has performed with groups ranging in style from the Brubeck Brothers Jazz Quartet, Oregon String Quartet, and Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra.  She is Founder of Bravo! Concerts Northwest and Director of the Bravo! Northwest Chorale.

Violinist Tatiana Kolchanova

Tatiana Kolchanova earned her Ph.D. from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservator.  Since 1983, Tatiana has toured the world as a violinist, including performances at Carnegie Hall under Zubin Mehta and concerts with Jessy Norman in France, Italy, Lebanon and Germany.  From 1996-2006 she taught at the Moscow Conservatory, and was violinist with the Moscow String Quartet.

We feature live concerts, concerts in Vancouver and FUN things to do in Portland.

Oregon native Collin Oldham has performed with the Corigliano, Mariner and Carpe Diem String Quartets, the National Symphony, the Oregon Symphony, and the Washington Opera, as well as alternative musical groups like The Decemberists, and The Portland Cello Project.
