This is a GREAT concert for adults, families & kids! The French are known for being stylish and hip, and Carnival of the Animals is some of the coolest music composed by a Frenchman. The animals are having a carnival and the guests are arriving: a majestic lion, the braying mules, a dancing elephant, and the bouncy kangaroos — everyone is invited to this musical story! We might even have a few dancers on stage playing the animal roles. Join the Chamber Orchestra for FUN music beloved by audiences of ALL ages.

By Popular Demand! You enjoyed our performance of Charlie Chaplin’s The Gold Rush last season, so we decided to perform another silent film with LIVE ORCHESTRA. This year we present two hilarious ‘shorts’ by Charlie Chaplin: A Dog’s Life and Shoulder Arms. In A Dog’s Life Chaplin plays opposite his animal co-star Scraps — the true hero in this film — a little dog who helps Charlie and Edna toward a better life. Released in 1918, Shoulder Arms is a comedy set in France during World War I. Come early and get your popcorn!

Idol Worshipping… Chariots of Fire… and an Evil Queen. It’s not a Disney film — it’s ELIJAH by Felix Mendelssohn. The brilliant German composer Felix Mendelssohn lived a brief life (1809-1847) filled with friends, music and laughter. His Musical Drama ELIJAH also demonstrates his religious faith. Written for Chorus, Orchestra and Soloists, the music is majestic and soaring in style and grandeur. ELIJAH brings to life the story of the Old Testament prophet Elijah as he summons his people to righteousness, performs miracles, and confronts Queen Jezebel. The story has a happy ending: Elijah rises to heaven in a fiery chariot!
