ABOUT THIS NORTHWEST TOUR:
The internationally acclaimed Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra (DSO, Dubrovnik, Croatia) and the 40-voice Bravo! Vancouver Chorale (Vancouver, Washington) are joining forces for a unique, multi-cultural concert tour of the Pacific Northwest, featuring performances of American and Croatian music. The concert tour will includes dates in Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Olympia, Edmonds and Seattle, Washington. A highlight of the tour will include the headline performance at the 2008 CroatiaFest at Seattle Center in Seattle, Wasington. Included on the tour program: Aaron Copland's arrangements of Long Time Ago and Ching-a-Ring Chaw; Peter Wilhousky's Battle Hymn of the Republic; contemporary Croatian composer Pero Sisa's Vjecni Grade Svetog Vlaha (Folk Cantata “Eternal City of St. Blaise”); and Joseph Haydn's (considered by music scholars to be of Croatian heritage) Symphony #104...and much more.
